See what reading skills your student is working on throughout the school year, activities you can do at home to support, and how to get more help if needed.


SORA - OUSD’s Digital Library

SORA is an online library that students can access anytime (including summer) from any device through their Clever login. Books are hand picked by the district’s library staff for students to check out.


Colorín Colorado

Colorín Colorado is the premier national website serving educators and families of English language learners (ELLs) in Grades PreK-12. Colorín Colorado has been providing free research-based information, activities, and advice to parents, schools, and communities around the country for more than a decade.

Starfall Learn to Read

Starfall started a free public service to teach children to read. Since then it has expanded to include language arts and mathematics for preschool, kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and third grade. Starfall activities are research-based and align with Individual and Common Core State Standards in English language arts and mathematics. Starfall can also be downloaded as a free mobile app.
